Label Design for Limited Edition of the Candy "Tsuru to Matsu"

"Tsuru to Matsu" was a special gift box of sweets. I got a chance to design the label of it. The idea was to vizualize shape by Japanese characters. After some trial directed by Prof. Ihara, I chose a crane and a pinetree as main objects.
I mainly used Japanese Hiragana "つ" - tsu as an element for a crane which is called Tsuru in Japanese, and for a pinetree; Matsu in Japanese, used "ま" - ma and "つ" - tsu.
